- In Box, copy the shared link of the presentation in your official BCDC folder. You can do this by clicking the "Share" button either in the folder view, or with the file open.
- Make sure that "Shared link is created" and "This content is publicly available to anyone with the link." are both visible in the Link settings. Then click the "Copy" button to copy the shared link to your clipboard.
- In Salesforce, navigate to the appropriate Project or Plan record by searching for the address in the global search at the top. When in doubt as to which record you should use, look for "Inactive" on a project record, as well as Plan records that have "Display on Web" checked. Always choose the record that is Displayed on Web.
- Hover over "Updates" in the top nav, and click the "New" button.
- OR scroll down to the "Updates" widget at the right, click on the downward-facing arrow, and click "New."
- Select the appropriate record type for the Update. If you are creating from a Planned Development Area type record, select "Planned Development Area" and then click "Next."
- In the "Update Type" dropdown, select "Developer Filing."
- In the "Subtype" dropdown, select either "Boston Civic Design Commission (BCDC) Design Committee Presentation" or "Boston Civic Design Commission (BCDC) Monthly Meeting Presentation."
- Enter the date of the meeting, then click the "Save" button.
- You will find the Update you just created on the right side of the record under "Updates." Click on the Update.
- When you land on the Update, the page will automatically jump down to a gray section titled "Add Bookmark." Paste the Box shared link you copied earlier into the URL field, and then click the "Submit" button (above or below the fields, it does not matter.)
- Click "OK" in the popup that appears and the page will refresh. The update is now complete and the BCDC milestone and presentation will now appear on the project timeline.
