How to Use Network Disk Drives to Save Files

The main benefit to saving your files on the network is that the files are backed up onto tape each night, so they are secure even if your own computer has a problem and loses or damages files.

This guide walks you through the different drives you can choose from on the network, and the uses of each one.  F: and H: are the drive letters available to you on the network.

If you work at 43 Hawkins Street or City Hall, you have an F: drive with several folders —Deptment (departments), Everyone, and Projects. In Deptment and Projects are stored shared files. Other buildings will have somewhat different choices.
