How do I patch Windows Servers?

Patching Windows Servers step by step

1. Log onto the server that will be patched.
2. Hit the Start Menu and click All Programs. Click on "Windows Update"
   
3. Click on "Check for updates"
   
4. Wait for Windows Update to search for all updates
   
5. Click on "Install updates". Usually it is a good ideal to take a look at what is being patched.
   
6. Let it download. Most patches series have one or more patches that required the server to restart. Good idea to restart as some patches actually affects app pools and/or services.
